Beast The Boro citizens, business owners and leaders are striving to make its town the “showplace community” they know it can be. They are to be commended for their strong love of community and hard work to ensure their beautiful town is aesthetically pleasing and a competitive choice for living in North Carolina.

Yearly Beast Fest Brings Thousands of People

Let’s not forget the Beast Fest! Held annually, this event brings in thousands of people to the town, enjoying live music, booths, food and craft vendors, and many other fun things from face painting to a car show. Beast The Boro is a grassroots organization with a big impact. They are volunteers, genuinely working to improve the quality of life for their fellow citizens. Beast Fest is organized by Boost the Boro. All profits made for the festival go directly back into the community, supporting various local causes and to improve the town. The Beast The Boro Festival is one of the largest yearly events in Bladen County. There is also the yearly Christmas parade. A story book Christmas parade, this town shows off with a great parade line up and huge crowds, full of Christmas cheer.

Bladenboro: Wrapped in History and Farming

Historically, the town of Bladenboro has been wrapped around farming. Known in its earliest days for its turpentine and lumber, the railroad was built in the 1800’s, and  brothers R.L. and H.C. Bridger came to Bladenboro to operate a turpentine business. A great location, as it is located just a short drive to the neighboring towns of Whiteville, Lumberton, and the county seat, Elizabethtown, NC. About an hours drive to the beaches, the town’s location yields small town flair with the convenience of more amenities not far away.
